LG G Watch R

This quick teaser of a video showcases LG's new smartwatch which is due to be released shortly after the MOTO X to compete in the round smartwatch field.  This watch is designed to offer a stylish appeal to those who are not big fans of the bulky calculator style which is offered by companies such as Samsung and the like.  There are many reviews of this device but many are just speculation as LG has been pretty tight lipped about it's release but has hinted that all information will be revealed at the IFA convention in the coming weeks.  Stay tuned for more reviews.

LG LTE G Pad 8.0

LG LTE G Pad 8.0

In an effort to expand its leadership in LTE from smartphones to tablets, LG Electronics (LG) today unveiled an LTE version of the G Pad 8.0, offering blazing fast outdoor connectivity and portability for on-the-go media consumption. The LG G Pad 8.0 LTE offers the right balance of performance and price competitiveness and comes preloaded with the best of the LG G3 smartphone’s premium user experience (UX), delivering smooth multitasking capabilities and multimedia experience.

The LG G Pad 8.0 LTE includes a unique sync feature that delivers easy connectivity with other Android devices. With QPair 2.0, users can connect to their smartphones with Bluetooth to conveniently answer phone calls, receive notifications, and send text messages, directly from their LG tablet.

Other noteworthy features
in the LG G Pad 8.0 LTE include:

■ Touch & Shoot helps capture special moments quickly and intuitively by letting users tap anywhere on the G Pad display to focus and trigger the shutter in one single step, eliminating a time-consuming two-step process.

■ Gesture Shot makes taking selfies simple and fun. Opening and closing one’s hand in front of the lens starts a three-second countdown before triggering the shutter for brilliant, blur-free selfies.

■ Smart Keyboard makes typing on an 8-inch tablet display just as easy as typing on a smartphone. Smart Keyboard reduces input errors by up to 75 percent by tracking and analyzing typing habits and intuitively “knowing” what words the user intended to type.

■ Knock Code™, LG’s proprietary security feature that makes powering on and unlocking one fluid action, gives up to four users their own personal knock pattern so family members can share the LG G Pad without sharing their personal information.

“With the G Pad 8.0 LTE, LG is setting a higher standard for connectivity in emerging 4G markets,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “Today’s on-the-go consumers demand speed and convenience wherever they are, at any time. If a 4G LTE infrastructure is in place, we want LG products to be first to take advantage of the fast network.”

The G Pad 8.0 LTE will begin shipping in key European countries starting this week followed by markets in Central and South America, Asia and CIS in the weeks to follow.

G Pad 8.0 Key Specifications:

■ Display: 8.0-inch IPS (1280 x 800 / WXGA)

■ Chipset: 1.2GHz Quad-Core

■ Memory: 16GB eMMC / 1GB RAM / microSD slot

Officially Released in China for $649

LG G3

LG has launched yet another version of its G3 flagship with the new model sporting dual SIM card slots and the model number D858. Other variants of the phone have arrived with heavily modified specs, but this one features no alterations to the design and only slight changes to the hardware.

The dual SIM LG G3 also features TD-LTE support which is widely used in China and GSMArena is reporting based on information provided by ePrice that the phone also comes with dual active support. This capability allows you to make calls using one cellular connection and access data over the second without any interruptions.

The smartphone continues to offer the same 5.5-inch QHD display with super slim bezels on the front. And the rear design features the innovative the volume rockers as well as the camera along with its Laser AF system and dual LED flash.

The internals have remained untouched as well, but the processing power has been reduced down to a 2.3GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 SOC. For memory, there’s 3GB of RAM, 32GB flash storage and a microSD card slot. The phone also runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.

Overview of the LG G3 dual SIM specs:

- 2.3GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 SOC
- Android 4.4 KitKat
- 3GB RAM
- 32GB storage, 128GB expandable
- 5.5-inch QHD IPS LCD
- 2.1MP front camera, 13MP rear lens

The LG G3 dual SIM model has already been put up for grabs in China via online retailers for a price of CNY 3999 which amounts to around $649. Also, the handset is only available in titanium black and moonlight white shades. We’re pretty sure that this model will also be launch in other locations across Asia.

LG G3 Stylus

LG G3 Stylus

Samsung Galaxy Note 4’s biggest rival

Among a pool of LG G3 variants that we’re witnessing day after day, a certain Stylus model which hasn't been spoken about officially yet has been leaked by the company itself. A product movie for the newly launched G3 Beat is the perpetrator of this leak, as this video gives us our first glimpse at the upcoming phablet that’s set to act as stiff competition to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

LG G3 Stylus  As its name suggests, the device comes equipped with a stylus and a slot to house it in its body. However, there’s a slight departure from the LG G3 blueprint which has been spotted on this variant. As Android Central has pointed out, the G3 Stylus doesn't seem to feature the laser auto-focus technology of its parent device, if the video is clearly observed.

LG G Vista announced for Verizon

LG G Vista

announced for Verizon

LG has launched a new phone that is exclusively made for Verizon. Named the LG G Vista, the phone features a 5.7-inch HD display and an impressive 3,200 mAh battery. LG is hoping that these two features will lure more customers into its fold.

But will it live up to the hype? We can't tell, at least for now. Verizon is now selling the phone for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. You can also get it for $399.99, minus the two-year Verizon Wireless contract.

While the LG G Vista looks like the flagship G3, a quick glance at the specs will reveal a middle-range device. Its features include a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, a 1.5GB RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. Thankfully, there's a microSD slot to make way for more space. There's also an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 1.3-megapixel on the front.  Where the LG G Vista falls short in the hardware, it makes up in the software. In addition to Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the phablet is endowed with LG's "KnockCode" and "KnockOn" features, which is really sweet for the price. What are your thoughts about the LG G Vista? Would you recommend it to your friends on Verizon?
