LG G Vista announced for Verizon

LG G Vista

announced for Verizon

LG has launched a new phone that is exclusively made for Verizon. Named the LG G Vista, the phone features a 5.7-inch HD display and an impressive 3,200 mAh battery. LG is hoping that these two features will lure more customers into its fold.

But will it live up to the hype? We can't tell, at least for now. Verizon is now selling the phone for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. You can also get it for $399.99, minus the two-year Verizon Wireless contract.

While the LG G Vista looks like the flagship G3, a quick glance at the specs will reveal a middle-range device. Its features include a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, a 1.5GB RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. Thankfully, there's a microSD slot to make way for more space. There's also an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 1.3-megapixel on the front.  Where the LG G Vista falls short in the hardware, it makes up in the software. In addition to Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the phablet is endowed with LG's "KnockCode" and "KnockOn" features, which is really sweet for the price. What are your thoughts about the LG G Vista? Would you recommend it to your friends on Verizon?
