This video shows you how to root your LG G2 which will allow you to receive newer updates and software which your current system may not allow.  This is also common when receiving a phone from someone else either through an ebay sale or from a friend.  It will set all of your phones original features back to the state when it was originally purchased.  By altering the phones root folder, you are allowing the phone to recieve anything you desire to put on it.  Always do your homework when installing new features as some features may corrupt your device and cause problems.  Google is your friend......so do some homework.
